The First Hello

It all began quietly, at a summer picnic where our paths crossed, but our words did not. I first saw her there, though she didn't notice me then. To her, it was just another day. To me, it was the beginning of something I didn't yet understand, unaware that something beautiful had already started to unfold.

A few weeks later, fate brought us together again at a church event. This time, we saw each other, really saw each other. Our worlds finally aligned. As we talked, I told her, "I saw you at the picnic." What was once a one-sided moment became a shared memory, the true start of our story.

Not long after, I was invited to a gathering where she was the chef behind the meal I enjoyed. Somewhere between the flavours of that moment and her presence, something felt undeniably different, certain, and impossible to ignore.

From there, everything flowed naturally. Conversations turned into laughter, laughter into friendship, and before we knew it, friendship began to blossom into something deeper.

And that's how our simple beginning turned into a love story we're still writing together.

When It Became Us 👫🏽

The turning point arrived at a birthday celebration where she was also a guest. In that moment, the atmosphere shifted. There was a radiance about her that captured my attention so completely that I found it impossible to look away. It was more than a visual spark; it was a profound pulling of my heart.

A few weeks later, during a phone call that had stretched for hours, blurring the line between night and morning, in the soft honesty of that moment, I spoke my heart plainly: how I could already see a future where our lives would become one.

In the quiet spaces between the noise of life, we found a rare comfort in one another. We weren't just falling in love, we were growing in faith, learning to pray together, and trusting that God was writing a story far more beautiful than we could have planned on our own.

"Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." — Ecclesiastes 4:12

We leaned into that promise. With God at the center, holding us together through every season, our love and bond is not only deepened, it is made unshakable.

The Yes 💍

Then came a moment that would change everything.

A moment where I was faced with a question that held not just a future, but a lifetime within it. In that stillness, there was no confusion, no hesitation, only peace. A deep knowing that God had already gone ahead of us, carefully weaving our story long before we ever understood it.

In a way that felt both intimate and unforgettable, he asked… and with a full heart, I said yes.

Because I believe God created him intentionally for me. The way he looks at me, the way he pays attention to even the smallest details, and the way he loves me so sincerely reflects something deeper, a reminder of how deeply I am loved by God Himself.

This was not chance. This was not coincidence. This was the hand of God forming, shaping, and beautifully constructing a love story I could never have written on my own.

And I am deeply excited to see what God continues to unfold in this journey we are walking into.

Our Forever Begins

And now, we stand at the edge of forever. Every step has led us here, to this beautiful moment of becoming.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has walked this journey with us. I pray we all encounter a love that holds firm through every season of life, because love like that is not simply found… it is graciously received, and beautifully lived.
